On a recent incentive trip in Tuscany, Italy, we crossed paths with an amazingly talented special events professional, Anne-Sophie Michas. Her assignment was to provide on-the-ground support for our client through a destination management company specializing in Italian trips. Everyone was thrilled with the way Anne-Sophie managed all the details for this high-end event. She formed relationships quickly and made sure every guest felt special and taken care of. Her knowledge about the area, the culture and local suppliers was equally impressive.

 

We realized we’d found the ideal person to join the GoGather team as our Managing Director in EMEA and expand our international events capabilities. I’m delighted that she also saw the opportunities and was eager to come on board. Her location in Rome and her background will enable us to provide better service for our existing clients. She’ll also help us create new relationships. With budgets always a consideration, she’ll enable us to deliver superior value for our clients by negotiating attractive pricing at preferred properties across the continent.

Logistically, Anne-Sophie gives our European clients an immediate local point of contact and around-the-clock support. She’ll also support our North American clients in EMEA and EMEA clients in North America.

 

As a ‘cultural translator,’ Anne-Sophie will help clients to bridge differences across countries, balancing business work styles with memorable cultural experiences for participants.

 

A high-profile consulting agency client of ours is already benefiting from her expertise; she’s helping them select between destinations in Italy and Spain for a senior leaders’ event.

 

While at the SDA Bocconi School of Management in Italy, Anne-Sophie studied an industry-leading software company in Milan that specializes in new product development and introduction in formula-based manufacturing. They recently hired us to support their user conference this fall in Orlando where Anne-Sophie will help them bring more meaning and impact to the guest experience.

Supporting corporate events and incentive trips in European destinations will be Anne-Sophie’s primary focus. She has a wealth of knowledge about where to go and what to do in top European cities, like London, Amsterdam and Rome. For incentive trips, Anne-Sophie can recommend exclusive resorts in remote destinations all the way ‘down the boot’ in Italy and high-end properties across Europe that deliver exceptional travel experiences.
